Easily manage and update your Selling Price Markup Percentages using this handy stock control utility feature
Note: It's always a good idea to backup your stock control company data before running this utility - as once the markup percent is committed, your selling prices will be updated
Extensive filter criteria are provided to enable you to pinpoint specific stock items / stock item ranges to update
Three Markup Types are provided, namely:
- Markup Cost Prices (this will markup cost prices by the entered percentage)
- Set New Markup % (this will alter the markup percentage to a new value)
- Markup Selling Prices (this will increase the selling prices by the entered markup percentage)
NOTE: The Update Selling Prices with Markup Percentage feature should only be run when there are NO other user/s currently accessing the Stock File
Using the Update Selling Prices with Markup Percentage Utility:
Filter Criteria for Updating
Enter your filter criteria to hone in and pinpoint only the relevant stock items requiring markup
Note: If no filter criteria is entered, the specific Markup Type and Markup Percentage will run through your entire stock control module, updating all stock items with the entered markup details
Choose your Markup Type - and select whether your Selling Price should be updated with Markup %
(selling price will not automatically be updated if "Markup Cost Prices" and "Set New Markup %" Types are selected, without the "Update Selling Price with Markup %" checkbox checked)
Markup Cost Prices
Use the Markup Cost Prices type to quickly and easily increase your stock items' cost price by a desired percentage
Enter the desired percentage to markup your costs and click "Next" to confirm the Cost Price Markup
Set New Markup %
Choose this Markup Type to modify the 3-tier percentage markup options based on your current Cost Price
Enter the desired 3-tier percentages and click "Next" to confirm your new markup percentages
Markup Selling Prices
Choose this Markup Type to increase your selling prices by the 3-tier markup percentages
Enter the desired 3-tier percentages and click "Next" to confirm your selling price increase
