Once your desired Enter and Post Batch has been selected/created, you can begin entering transactions
Capture and allocate all external customer payments quickly and easily when Entering and Posting a payment
Payments can be allocated to a Specific Invoice, or set to allocate to either the Oldest or Youngest Invoice first
Transactions will appear as follows on your Win Acc Accounting Reports:
Payments = P
Settlement Discount = S
Invoices = I
Credit Notes = C
Payment Enter and Post:
Select Payment and Insert
Enter a Payment by selecting the Payment Transaction type
Once Payment is selected, click Insert to enter payment details

Begin by entering or selecting the Debtor Code/Debtor that made the payment, as well as the Transaction Date, the Aging Date and Payment Amount
Here you can also insert a Payment Reference and choose how to allocate the payment

Payment Allocation
(Oldest or Youngest First)
Once the payment details have been entered (as discussed above), you can now choose how you wish to allocate the payment
If "Oldest First" is selected, the payment will be allocated to the oldest outstanding invoice for the selected client, using the aging date as the starting point
When "Youngest First" is selected, the payment will be allocated to the most recent outstanding invoice found (using the aging date as the starting point), working its way back, should there be additional credits

Once the payment amount and details have been entered, and "Specified Invoices" selected, click "Ok" to bring up the list of relevant invoices awaiting payment
Easily view a list of all applicable invoices when allocating an Enter and Post Payment to a Specified Invoice
On this window you will also see the “Credits Available” amount, based on the payment amount entered on the Payment Details window
Find the specific invoice and double click it to view and commit the payment (you can also highlight the record and press the “Change” button)
The ‘Update Specified Invoices for Payments’ window will now open

The ‘Update Specified Invoices for Payments’ shows you relevant Line Item Details, such as the Document Date, Invoice Number and Invoice Total
The Payment Amount (or partial payment amount) will automatically populate
Here you will also have a final chance to add/modify any Settlement Discount details
Click whether to allow VAT adjustments
Should you still have additional credits available, proceed to assign them to further invoices until all payments have been allocated
Once allocation is complete, click "Ok" to add it to the selected Batch and proceed with additional transactions or post the batch to commit it into the system
