5.2.4. Year End Function

 
The Year End Function is used at the end of your financial year to close the books and make the General Ledger ready for the next accounting period
 
This procedure forms part of a company's closing operations, and is used when creating a company's financial statements
 
Account Balances are brought forward and posting accounts are prepared for the upcoming year
 
 
As per the Year End Function screen, please ensure the following before running this procedure:
 
1. General Ledger Backups have been done*
2. Required reports have been saved/printed
3. All accounts have been reconciled*
4. Spooler / Audit Trails records have been printed and filed
5. All other users have logged out of current Company ID (Networks Only)
 
Check the "Proceed with Year End Function" checkbox, and click "OK" to run the General Ledger Year End Function
 
Note: The Year End Function CANNOT be run if you have unposted General Ledger Batches and/or Cashbook Batched - Use the Remove Unposted Transactions utility to quickly and easily purge nonessential batches
