3.4. Enter & Post Settlement Discount Transactions
When a Settlement Discount is agreed upon after the supplier invoice has been sent, or the settlement discount terms are modified down the line, ensure that your business and accounting data remains 100% accurate and up-to-date with our smart Accounts Payable Enter and Post capabilities
Once your desired Enter and Post Batch has been selected/created, you can begin entering transactions
Settlement Discounts and Aged Dates can be assigned to their corresponding Invoice Documents with a few clicks of a button
Transactions will appear as follows on your Win Acc Accounting Reports:
Settlement Discount = S
Invoices = I
Credit Notes = C
Payments = P
Enter and Post Settlement Discount:
Select Settlement Discount and Insert
Enter a Settlement Discount by selecting the Settlement Discount Transaction type
Once Settlement Discount is selected, click Insert to enter Settlement Details
Settlement Discount Entry
Begin by entering or selecting the desired Creditor and Transaction Date
Once a Creditor is selected, easily enter the corresponding Invoice Number that you wish to add the Settlement Discount transaction to - or use the magnifying glass Easy Lookup button to view a list of all relevant Vendors
Enter the Aged Date of the discount transaction and add a Reference Description
Finish by inserting the Settlement Amount
(which Includes the VAT Amount) and add any additional VAT amounts
(which will reduce your VAT Analysis Report)
Selecting Relevant Document
Once a Creditor is selected, use the magnifying glass Easy Lookup button to view a list of all relevant Invoice Documents
Review the Document Type, Date and Number -
Double Click the corresponding document or highlight it and click "Select"
Once the settlement discount transaction details have been added, click "Ok" to add it to the selected Batch and proceed with additional transactions
